On September 28, fourth-grade students at Bowling Green Elementary School in the East Meadow Union Free School District held an in-house field trip presented by instructors Maddi Cheers and Uaian Bruno from “Journeys into American Indian Territory.”“Journeys into American Indian Territory” is an all-day curriculum-based moving museum geared specifically to fourth-grade students. The presentation began with an introductory film about what life was like for the Native Americans after the European settlers arrived, and continued with workshops on traditional games and stories, music and dance, building a wigwam, and lifestyles and history of the native peoples of the Eastern Woodlands.
