In preparation of the 2015-2016 school year, the administrators and staff of the district welcomed 38 new teachers at its annual new teacher orientation.
The new teacher orientation, held at the Leon J. Campo Salisbury Center on August 26, gave the new staff an opportunity to meet administrators, one another and become informed about district policies. During the orientation, the new staff received an official district tour led by Barnum Woods Elementary School Principal Gregory Bottari.
In his opening remarks, Superintendent of Schools Leon J. Campo, wished the teachers great success for the upcoming year.
“Our children come by our way once and we owe them our very, very best. Give your very best and that will be sufficient. You’re surrounded by wonderful and supportive staff. We are going to work together and have great success this year.”
